50 Years in Business

Since 1973

Scientific Instrument Center was founded in 1973 by Tony and Maxine Oldham in Westerville, Ohio. The Oldham’s both worked for Carl Zeiss before starting their own company

The Oldham’s retired in 1991 and three (3) of their engineers purchased the company and moved the operations to the westside of Columbus, Ohio.

SIC builds its own building, thus securing home base on the westside of Columbus until 2017.

SIC sells its building and relocates to the northwest suburb of Columbus in Plain City, Ohio.  We are   now servicing over 450 customers in seven (7) states. Currently, three (3) employees that worked for the Oldham’s are still employed today, spanning over forty (40) years!
